Netlflix recently announced that my favorite movie will be available to stream starting December 1st (aka today). In honor of this glorious news, I decided to summarize the valuable life lessons I learned from this wonderful film.
1. "If you never take it seriously, you never get hurt."

"And if you ever get lonely just go to the record store and visit your friends."
2. Only be interested in what is real.

3. Rock and Roll is hard to explain.
Source: Tumblr
"Some people have a hard time explaining rock n' roll. I don't think anyone can really explain rock n' roll. Maybe Pete Townshend, but that's okay."
4. "The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what we share with someone else when we're uncool."

One of the many pieces of wisdom from Lester Bangs.
5. Be true to yourself before it's too late.

For those of you that haven't seen the movie, in this particular scene the band thinks they are crashing to their death. Rightfully so, each person makes a startling confession about themselves. Then, the plane evens out, the turbulence ceases and awkwardness commences.
6. Don't wait until the person you love is dying before you tell them how you feel.

"I love you. And I'm about to boldly go where...many men have gone before."
7. "It's all happening."
Source:Live in the moment. Enjoy the present. Don't worry about tomorrow because there is a lot of cool shit going on right now.

Edit: I'd also like to add that my blog name, as well as my career choice, was inspired by this film. That is all. Thanks for reading.
